Film and Talk: DFC: The Legend Returns

Donnerstag, 23. Mai 2024, 19:00 – 21:00, Dokumentationszentrum Flucht, Vertreibung, Versöhnung

In 1896, German-speaking Jews in Prague founded the first football club in Bohemia. The German Football Club Prague reached the final of the German Football Championship in 1903. After the invasion of German troops in March 1939, the club was forced to disband. Many players and officials did not survive the Nazi terror.

DFC Prague was only founded anew in 2016 and since then has focused primarily on youth football.

The documentary was created as part of a project by the National Assembly of German Clubs in the Czech Republic and tells the story of the club's past and present.
