Ticket prize draw for Heimsuchung – A Century’s Story. Based on the bestseller by Jenny Erpenbeck

This film by Oscar® winner Volker Schlöndorff covers the entire 20th century, focusing on a house on Lake Scharmützel, where 15 life stories converge to form a ‘magnifying glass on German history’. Loss, displacement, homeland and remembrance are explored through the lens of specific individual stories.

The novel on which the film is based is already regarded as a literary classic; in 2024, author Jenny Erpenbeck became the first German ever to win the International Booker Prize.
